Welcome to Falmouth Studios
we’re a family-run embroidery studio founded by siblings Gavin and Sasha Sparkes. We started this business with one clear goal: to do things differently.
After spending years working under outdated, rigid systems, we decided it was time to build something that actually reflected what we care about — people, passion, and purpose. We wanted to create a place where creativity could thrive, where everyone is treated with empathy and respect, and where the energy in the room is just as good as the work coming out of it.
Falmouth Studios isn’t just a business — it’s our way of showing that work can feel good, that customers can feel seen, and that craftsmanship still matters.

Gavin Sparkes
Co-Owner
Before launching Falmouth Studios, I spent 15 years in retail management, eventually overseeing a team of over 420 colleagues, 18 supervisors, and 9 managers, with a weekly turnover of £1.2 million. It was fast-paced, demanding, and incredibly varied — and it taught me a huge amount about people, leadership, and how important it is to have strong values at the heart of any team.
That experience showed me what I wanted — and didn’t want — from a workplace. I believe leadership should be about support, trust, and building people up. That belief is one of the main reasons we started Falmouth Studios — to create a business where empathy, inclusion, and passion aren’t just buzzwords, but the foundation of everything we do.
Sasha Sparkes
Co-Owner
After 18 years in retail, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for quality, care, and attention to detail — values I now bring into every piece I stitch. What started out as a creative outlet in embroidery quickly became a real passion and purpose.
Health, fitness, and mental well-being are also a huge part of my life. I truly believe that creativity has the power to heal, energise, and uplift. That’s why I’m so proud that at Falmouth Studios, we’re building more than just a business — we’re creating a positive, supportive space where people can thrive. My hope is that as we grow, our team continues to reflect those same values of empathy, joy, and care.
Whether it’s a motivational design, a meaningful gift, or something sporty and fun — every stitch I make is packed with love and intention.
Levi Ripley
Designer & Creative Partner
We’re also lucky to work closely with Levi, an inspiring designer and creative partner who brings incredible talent and energy to the studio. Levi holds a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design and has spent years honing his skills in embroidery, garment design, and textile art.
Before joining us, Levi played a major role in the success of another embroidery studio — and now he’s pouring that experience and creative fire into Falmouth Studios. Alongside his work here, he’s also building his own independent fashion brand — a bold and exciting journey that we’re proud to support.
Levi brings a unique perspective that continues to shape our designs and stretch our creative boundaries. He’s proof of what happens when talent meets purpose — and we’re thrilled to have him on this journey with us.
